Narcan Used To Revive Overdosing Avon Lake Man, Police Say

Police said the man overdosed in the early morning. Police and fire crews responded and helped save the man's life.

AVON LAKE, OH — A 39-year-old man overdosed in the city and needed three doses of Narcan, the anti-overdosing drug, to recover, police said.

Police and fire crews were called to an apartment on Moore Road at 5:40 a.m. They found the man overdosing. The firefighters were able to revive the man using Narcan.

The man then received medical attention on the scene. He was not taken to the hospital, according to police reports.

Police did not gather any evidence from the scene, according to the report.

That same day, Jan. 23, at 1:50 p.m., police stopped an SUV on Electric Boulevard. The driver was a 24-year-old Avon Lake man.

Police said they searched the man's vehicle, on a probable cause search, and found marijuana in the SUV. The driver was then cited for drug possession and expired license plates.
