Needles Found At Avon Lake Beach

AVON LAKE, OH — Hypodermic needles were found at a beach on Lake Road, according to Avon Lake police records. A suspicious person was reportedly seen in the area, but couldn't be found by officers.

On July 28, police got a tip about suspicious activity happening at Vinyard Park Beach, 32414 Lake Road. A caller gave the tip at about 9 p.m. that evening.

When officers arrived they found several hypodermic needles and other items scattered along the beachfront. However, there was no sign of a person on the beach.

A canine unit was called to the scene to search for the suspicious person, but no one was located, police records said.
