New Preschool Parent Support Group In Avon Lake

Parents of LEAPS preschool students can take part in a parental support group that will start in January.

AVON LAKE, OH β€” A new support program will bring together parents of LEAPS preschool students. The group will begin meeting Jan. 22 at Redwood Elementary School.

"The parent support group is an opportunity for parents to gain support, share ideas, and learn from other parents who may be experiencing similar issues. The parent support group will be hosted by our school social worker, Kristin Acton," the school district said in an emailed statement.

The meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of each month. Parents will in the LEAPS preschool space at Redwood at 6 p.m. The sessions will last approximately one hour. Light refreshments will be provided.

LEAPS preschool is an early intervention and education program for all children, including those with disabilities, the school district noted. Approximately 115 students are enrolled in LEAPS year-to-year.
