No Bombs Found After Threat At Clearview High

A Sheffield Township high school was evacuated Monday after a bomb threat was discovered.

SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH — A high school in Sheffield Township was briefly evacuated Monday after a bomb threat was discovered.

Clearview High was evacuated at 10 a.m., the Lorain County Sheriff's office announced. Law enforcement searched both the high school and the neighboring Durling Middle School. No bombs were found and both buildings were deemed safe, the sheriffs said.

Students and staff were then allowed to return to the buildings, the sheriffs said. No one was hurt during the evacuation process.

Investigators said the threat originated on social media and was sent to a middle school student on Sunday night. The student told a Lorain County sheriff and school resource officer about the threat on Monday morning, prompting the evacuation.

The Lorain County Sheriffs office is investigating the threat but is not releasing any information about suspects.
