Ohio Primary 2020: Which Democrat Will Face Jim Jordan?
Three Democrats — Shannon Freshour, Jeffrey Sites and Mike Larsen — faced off to decide Jordan's challenger.

AVON, OH — Shannon Freshour will challenge Rep. Jim Jordan in Ohio's fourth district in November. Voters selected Freshour over two other Democratic contenders.
On late Tuesday night, Jeffrey Sites and Mike Larsen conceded the primary election. Both congratulated Freshour on her victory and urged her on to victory. Freshour said she would work with Sites and Larsen to defeat Jordan.
Over the past year, Jordan has become one of the most recognizable names in the Republican party, due in part to his ardent support of President Donald Trump. The president has started name-dropping Jordan with regularity.

Adding to the challenge, Jordan is the representative from Ohio's 4th District, a winding, gerrymandered district that includes parts of 14 different counties. Jordan is the representative for both Oberlin, one of Ohio's most liberal cities, and Urbana, one of Ohio's most rural and conservative areas. Yet Jordan has rarely receives less than 66 percent of the vote in his district.
Freshour and Sites positioned themselves as centrists and moderates, eager to appeal to swing-voters in the district. Larsen was the more progressive candidate, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
