Parade Participants Needed In Avon

AVON LAKE, OH — The city of Avon is looking for participants for its annual Memorial Day parade on May 28. Veterans, civic groups, businesses and youth groups are all being asked to register for the parade event.

The parade is at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 28. There will be a Memorial Day ceremony and festivities after the parade at the Memorial on Route 83 and Detroit, immediately following the parade.

Anyone that is interested in taking part in the parade is being asked to contact Parade Volunteer Caryn Tovtin. Tovtin can be contacted by email (caryntovtin@hotmail.com) or by cell 440-522-9493.

Coincidentally, the city of Avon Lake is also looking for local civic groups, businesses and veterans to take part in its annual parade. A call has gone out for any music groups, businesses, organizations and individuals that want to take part in the parade.
