🌱 Parking Deck Collapses + Ohio Edison To Trim Trees In Lorain County

Here are the top three stories in Avon-Avon Lake today:

In nearby Parma, an above-ground parking deck partially collapsed late Tuesday night at an apartment building on Laurent Drive. Firefighters took measures to ensure that the parking deck did not further collapse. No residents or emergency responders were injured. (News 5 Cleveland)
Ohio Edison is conducting a $21.6M tree trimming program in communities, including Avon, across its 34-county service area to enhance electric service reliability. A press release put out by the company stated that contractors have trimmed trees along more than 300 miles of power lines since the beginning of the year. The program remains on track to complete an additional 4,400 miles by year-end. (PR Newswire)
