Legs Dangling From Car Trunk: Police Blotter

Junk in the trunk

A Mitsubishi Eclipse was driving on State Route 83 with legs hanging out of the trunk Jan. 15 around 12:15 a.m., were told. When police stopped the car, the man in the trunk said there was not enough room for him up front. The group, which was headed to , was advised, and promised to call a taxi for the gratuitous passenger on the way home.

A man in the 3600 block of Wendell Street was charged for domestic violence around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 15, after reportedly throwing his wife down a flight of stairs and throwing a phone at her. The couple had returned home from , and were possibly intoxicated.

The driver of a snow plow was given a verbal warning for speeding around 2 a.m. Jan. 15., after police pulled it over near 32300 Detroit Rd.

Snow problems

The snow early Sunday morning took a toll on Avon drivers, as four car accidents on Interstate 90 were reported at 2:23 a.m., 3:02 a.m., 3:18 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., with no injuries reported. The was called around 5 a.m. for a woman who sustained head injuries in a crash earlier that night.
