Police Investigating Robbery At Avon Lake Restaurant

AVON LAKE, OH — Police are looking for a man that tried to rob China Star on Moore Road.

According to Avon Lake police, officers were called to the restaurant on Monday after being told someone had come into the business with a pistol and demanded money. The man walked out of the restaurant but witnesses didn't know which direction he went.

Officers searched the area near the restaurant but were unable to find him. A witness described the suspect as a white man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds. He is believed to be between 20 and 23 years old.

Police said the man was wearing a grey shirt, dark jeans, a blue ski mask and a blue backpack.
