Relive Your Avon Lake School Days At Homecoming Weekend
The district will open the doors of its buildings and give nostalgic tours to returning alums.

AVON LAKE, OH — The Avon Lake Schools will throw open their doors to alumni and the public during Homecoming Weekend. Staff will provide tours and "remember when" moments for guests.
The tours will be held September 29 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The High School commons area will be a meet-up location for alums during the event. Tables in the commons will be set-up based on decades, with some class photos adorning the tables.
The city's Digital Media Department is crafting a documentary-type film about the schools using footage from the city's oral history project. The film will be shown on the TVs in the school. For guests that get inspired to share their own story, there will be a camera and a recorder in the high school.

Homecoming weekend this year will feature tons of history because the 2018 theme is Bicentennial. The full schedule for the weekend is below.
