Remnants Of Barry To Soak Lorain County This Week
Heavy rain and storms are possible throughout Wednesday as the remains of the storm blow into Northeast Ohio.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Barry will blow into Northeast Ohio on Wednesday, bringing the possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
Lorain County issued a warning to residents about the possibility of storms on Wednesday. Residents were told to keep an eye on forecasts and prepare for inclement weather.
The National Weather Service is currently predicting storms will begin on Tuesday evening. Humidity is expected to drive the rain. Severe, damaging weather isn't expected on Tuesday, but powerful winds could develop along with pockets of storms.

For Wednesday, the NWS is forecasting a 90-percent chance of thunderstorms, with a half an inch of rain to possibly fall. Storms could continue until about 2 a.m. on Thursday.
"Increased lift along a weak front and the moisture from the remnants of Barry will produce locally heavy rainfall across the region Wednesday morning into Wednesday evening," the National Weather Service warned this week. "An upper level ridge will increase over the region Thursday into the weekend which will bring hot and humid conditions. Heat advisories or warnings may be needed."
