Road Rage Leads To Assault In Avon Lake
Two people in a spat on Miller Road pulled into a Dairy Queen and began shoving each other before police broke it up.

AVON LAKE, OH — Road rage is a nasty vice. It nearly spun out of control last week, when two people started screaming at each other before pulling into a Dairy Queen and shoving it out. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the past week.
Property Damage, June 14 — Several windows were damaged at the Shoreham Apartments, 33393 Electric Blvd.
Theft, June 14 — An employee at a local business was fired and left the job with tools belonging to the business. After a conversation with the police, the employee agreed to return to the tool to the police department.

Theft, June 14 — A handgun was stolen from the glove compartment of an Avon Lake resident's vehicle.
Warrant Service, June 15 — Off-duty police working at St. Joe's carnival were approached by a carnival manager who told them he believed an employee had an active arrest warrant. The employee did have an active warrant and was taken into custody.

Theft, June 15 — A cell phone was stolen from a resident's car while it was parked at Lear Rd. The phone was later located by the cell phone provider using the GPS tracker.
Disturbance, June 16 — A man going past a skate park called police after some of the skaters reportedly gave him the bird. He told police the skaters were approaching him while he was on his property. When police arrived, the skaters were returning to the park and the matter was resolved.
Theft, June 16 — Gift cards were stolen out of an unlocked Spinnaker Drive resident's car.
Drug Overdose, June 17 — Officers were called to Electric Boulevard for reports of an unresponsive man who had potentially overdosed. The man was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for treatement.
Assault, June 18 — A road rage incident spun out of control at Dairy Queen, 33720 Walker Rd. Two people were shouting at each other Miller Rd. and then pulled into the restaurant chain, hopped out of their cars, and started pushing each other. Police arrived and broke up the incident.
