Robbery At Avon Lake Restaurant: Suspect Charged
Police announced on Thursday morning that a 17-year-old has been officially accused of aggravated robbery for an incident at China Star.
AVON LAKE, OH — Avon Lake police announced on Thursday morning that a suspect has been formally accused of the robbery at China Star restaurant on Monday.
Christopher Kent, 17, has been charged with aggravated robbery. He is currently being held at the Lorain County Detention Home.
"The Avon Lake Police Department would like to thank those who offered assistance with identifying our “Person of Interest." Our police department is committed to working collaboratively with our community to ensure we keep our City safe," the Avon Lake police said in a statement.

According to Avon Lake police, officers were called to China Star, on Moore Road, on Monday, at about 1 p.m., after being told someone had come into the business with a pistol and demanded money. The man walked out of the restaurant but witnesses didn't know which direction he went. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
