See What Life Is Like For Lorain County Sheriffs In New Program

The Lorain County Sheriff's Office Citizen Partnership launches in April and will give residents a glimpse into the life of law enforcement.

LORAIN, OH — The Lorain County Sheriff's Office Citizen Partnership is now accepting applications. The 10-week course gives Lorain County residents a glimpse inside life as a sheriff and inside the judicial system.

The program begins April 8 and continues through June 10. Classes are held on Wednesdays and start at 6 p.m. Each class should conclude by 8:30 p.m.

Classes will cover topics like guns and firearm scenarios, jail operations, how the court system works and defensive driving. Previous courses were taught by law enforcement.

Applications for the program can be picked up at the Lorain County Sheriff's Office lobby, 9896 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, or downloaded online.
