Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Lorain County
Residents in the area have reported seeing hail and lightning.

AVON, OH — A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Lorain County by the National Weather Service.
Residents have reported seeing hail and lightning in the area already. Wind gusts are expected to hit 55 mph in the area as the storm moves northeast.
"At 2:45 p.m., radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Elyria to near Loudonville. Movement was northeast at 50 mph," the National Weather Service said.

Half an inch of hail, all approximately the size of a quarter, could fall with the storms, the NWS said. Minor damage to vehicles is possible, and power outages are expected. Residents should also expect damage to trees.
