Shirley B. Rogers, 83, of Avon Lake, passed away on March 16.
Rogers graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1947 and Bowling Green State University in 1951 with a business degree, according to tributes.com.
Rogers loved her afghan hounds and cats. She also enjoyed playing golf and tennis.

Rogers is survived by her sons David and Mark; sister Priscilla Kleir; and brother, Dale Beetler.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger whom she was married to for 49 years; parents Edward and Virginia Butler (Bowman); and brother, Ned Beetler.

The visitation will be held at Busch Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m.
