Shredding Days Coming Up In Avon, Avon Lake

Both cities will host shredding events for residents. Avon Lake residents can bring up to five boxes per household to be shredded.

AVON, OH — Both Avon and Avon Lake will host community shredding days for residents in September. The Avon event will be held Sept. 23. The Avon Lake event will be held Sept. 30.

For the Avon event, residents will be invited to Avon City Hall, 36080 Chester Rd. Two trucks will be on-hand to shred for residents. The event will last from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Shredded material will be recycled by All Ohio Secure Shred. The city encourages residents to shred sensitive documents they no longer need.

Seven days later, Avon Lake will host its own shredding event. The event will be held in the municipal pool parking lot and runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (To stay up to date on these stories, subscribe to the Patch Avon-Avon Lake newsletter. Avon Lake residents are allowed to bring five boxes, or five full grocery bags, per family to be shredded. The city will utilize a mobile shredding truck for the event.
