Stolen Avon Lake Vehicle Located In Lorain
After a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban was reported stolen, police located the vehicle in Lorain.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police tracked down a missing vehicle last week. The owner believes one of his children may have driven the SUV last, and left the keys in the vehicle. Read on for more information on that incident and others from last week.

Warrant Service, June 28 - Regional Transit Authority Police contacted Avon Lake officers to say they had a man in custody that had an active warrant in the city. The man had been detained at a transit station on W. 117th St. and Madison Ave. Avon Lake Police took custody of the man.

Traffic Complaint, June 29 - An officer on patrol stopped a car on Moore Rd. The driver was cited for operating a vehicle without a license.
Stolen Vehicle, June 29 - A resident on Ambleside Drive reported their white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban had been stolen. The vehicle had been parked in the resident's driveway. The vehicle was later recovered by police on Toledo Ave. in Lorain. Police said the vehicle was unoccupied when it was located in Lorain.

Menacing, June 29 - An Ambleside Drive resident received a suspicious letter. Police took a report on the matter.
Warrant Service, July 2 - Ohio State Patrol arrested Ibrahim Hamid, who had an active warrant through Avon Lake for failure to appear. Hamid was originally charged with failure to comply and speeding. He was taken to Westlake Jail where an Avon Lake officer took custody of him.
Liquor Offense, July 2 - Three teenagers were seen intoxicated on James Circle. They said they were at a party, and officers told them to get home. The teenagers complied and went home.
