Surprise Spring Snow Results in Canceled Games

Think spring sports means games in warmer weather and sunshine? Think again. While it’s not unusual to see baseball and softball games canceled due to rain, it’s not every day that the games are suspended due to snow.

Check out this video of Avon Lake baseball, softball and track athletes (and parents) who braved some pretty severe weather before the games were suspended on March 30. The amount of snowfall took players and officials by surprise, with the baseball and softball games only making it through a few innings before the games were called.
