Suspicious Bag Found By Kids In Avon Lake: Police Blotter

The bag was turned over to police. Officers also investigated a car accident at a Taco Bell.

AVON LAKE, OH — Last week, children found a suspicious bag near their home on Pebblebrook Court. The kids presented the bag to their mother, who called police.

Officers took the bag and are keeping it at Avon Lake police station. It's not clear what was inside the bag, according to Avon Lake police records.

Warrant Service, Dec. 11 — An inmate at Lorain County Jail was served a warrant.

Traffic Complaint, Dec. 12 — A woman from Sullivan was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Fraud, Dec. 13 — A con artist called a 61-year-old Avon Lake man and said he needed to pay to have his account unlocked. Police are investigating the case.

Traffic Complaint, Dec. 15 — A 51-year-old Sheffield Lake man was taken into custody after a car accident at Taco Bell on Avon Belden Road. Police said the man is being charged with operating a vehicle impaired.

Traffic Complaint, Dec. 16 — Police took a woman into custody on a warrant from Westlake police.
