Suspicious Man Runs From Avon Lake Police, Lies About Identity
Callers on Pin Oak Parkway said the man was on their street and acting suspiciously.

AVON LAKE, OH — A Grafton man found himself in police custody after he lied to officers about who he was. Before he was arrested, the man tried to run from police. He didn't get far, police said.
On Monday, police were sent to Pin Oak Parkways after callers reported seeing a suspicious man hanging around the street. Officers arrived, located the suspect and started talking to him.
The man lied about who he was, police said. Officers discovered the lie and told the man he was going to be detained. He took the news poorly, trying to run off, police reports said.

Officers managed to corral the man and get him into custody. He was taken to Lorain County Jail and charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of official business, and possession of drug abuse instruments. Police did not say what instruments were found in the man's possession.
