SUV Hits Tree On Avon Lake Lawn, Driver Arrested
Police said the driver of the SUV was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired.

AVON LAKE, OH — A Bayview Drive resident got an early morning surprise on September 14. They called police after they found a battered SUV had driven onto their tree lawn and hit a tree.
When police arrived, the driver was being attended to by neighbors. She had suffered an apparent head injury, according to police records.
The driver refused additional medical treatment and was then examined by police. After field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired.

Stolen Vehicle, September 9 — A Caravan minivan was taken by a resident's ex-boyfriend. The man did not have permission to take the vehicle and did not return it. Police said the van has been entered as stolen.
Warrant Service, September 12 — Lorain Police arrested a man wanted in Avon Lake Municipal Court for an assault charge. The two departments exchanged custody of the man at a McDonald's in Avon. The man's case was heard the same day and he was committed to three days in Lorain County Jail.
Criminal Damaging, September 12 — A Village on the Green resident reported that someone damaged their window.
Found Property, September 15 —A Lake Road resident found a mountain bike on their property and turned it over to police. The bicycle is a black Hyper Havoc Full Suspension, 26 inch frame.
