SUV Hits Woman In Parking Lot In Avon Lake, Speeds Off
The woman was treated in a local hospital for her injuries. Police are looking for the SUV.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police are looking for a dark colored SUV that hit a pedestrian in the Walgreens parking lot in early June. Police said the woman that was hit had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment. The SUV that hit her fled the area.
Officers are trying to get security video from the incident. The accident took place on June 6, police said.
In another vehicle-related incident from mid-June, Avon Lake Police also had trouble pulling over an allegedly drunk driver on June 17. An officer on patrol spotted a car speeding near Belle Road, police said.

The officer turned on his lights and siren, but the car didn't pull over for about a mile.
The car finally pulled over on Beachwood Avenue. The driver, a 31-year-old Avon Lake man, submitted to a breath test and blew a .076.

He was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired and cited for speeding and "full time" attention in a vehicle.
