Reflection Room will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday at its new Electric Boulevard location.
AVON LAKE, OH — A new tattoo shop will hold its grand opening ceremony on Friday in Avon Lake. Reflection Room will have a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. at its new Electric Boulevard location.
Reflection Room is owned by Mikayla Hyland and Kyle Manley. Both are tattoo artists, though they have different skill sets. Manley has a background in fine art and design and Hyland has a background in the medical field.
The tattoo shop will offer custom, cosmetic and medical tattooing services. Customers can also get body piercings or a safe environment for a first piercing. The studio is open to customers 18 and older and juveniles accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Reflection Room will offer microblading, machine and combo brows, freckles, lips, eyeliner, scalp and more. Their medical tattooing services include scar camouflage, nipple recreation, repigmentation and 3D areola.
“A lot of people don’t know that medical tattooing even exists,” said Hyland. “A large portion of our client base is breast cancer survivors. I am an advanced areola artist and I can do incredible things for these women. We plan to do as much philanthropy as we can to bring awareness. Our scheduling and client communication is done through a HIPAA compliant EHR system to provide maximum security for our clients. A calm and comfortable atmosphere is one of the most important things to us.”

Reflection Room is located at 32087 Electric Boulevard. The area, near Electric and Lear Road, has been a focus of development for Avon Lake officials. Over the past several months, Big M Pizza and the Dental Studio of Avon Lake both opened in the neighborhood, an accomplishment trumpeted by Ted Esborn, the city's economic development director.
“We decided to open Reflection Room in Avon Lake because we saw an interest in custom, medical, and cosmetic tattooing and there aren’t any studios in the area,” said Hyland. “We also love the community. It’s nice to work in the same city where you plan to raise your family. We want the people of Avon Lake to know that we are excited to be part of the community. We really love what we do and know that, contrary to common misconceptions, tattooing actually has the power to change lives for the better. We welcome anyone interested in learning more about us or our services to stop in."
