Teens Busted With Weed In Avon Lake
Four teenagers were cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

AVON LAKE, OH — Three teenagers were arrested for possession of a controlled substance after being stopped by police on the last day of March. The trio were driving on Carriage Lane when police ran a random registration check on their vehicle. The car's owner had an expired driver's license, so officers pulled the car over.
Officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. Three adult passengers, all 18-years-old, and the juvenile driver were cited for having the drugs. The juvenile was turned over to his mother and will be contacted by the Lorain County Juvenile Court, according to Avon Lake Police records.

Telecommunications Harassment, March 26 — An Avon Lake man told police his son is being harassed by an ex-girlfriend via phone.
Warrant Service, March 26 — An officer on patrol spotted a person with a warrant in the parking lot of the Village on the Green apartment complex. The person was arrested and transferred to Westlake Police, where the warrant originated.

Disorderly Conduct, March 26 — Callers reported a man laying in the grass near 180 Somerset Lane. The man was among the weeds at about 6 p.m., when police arrived on the scene. The man in the grass, a 53-year-old from Avon Lake, was intoxicated and had fallen into a ditch, according to police records. He was taken to St. John Hospital. He was charged with criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and littering.
