Thieves Steal Avon Lake Woman's Minivan

AVON LAKE, OH - An Avon Lake woman's minivan was stolen from her home, days after thieves stole her purse and car keys, police announced.

The minivan was stolen on May 21. The vehicle had been parked in the woman's driveway on Plumbrook Court.

According to police reports obtained by Patch, the woman had been the target of a theft on the preceding Sunday. Thieves snagged a number of items from the woman's unlocked minivan, including her purse and minivan keys.

The thief or thieves used the woman's stolen credit card and were able to spend $53 before the card was cancelled, police said.

In both thefts, the minivan was parked overnight in the woman's driveway.

The stolen vehicle was a white 2008 Chrysler Pacifica.
