Threats Made Toward Avon Lake Resident

AVON LAKE, OH — Police were asked to put extra patrols around an Avon Lake woman's home after she received possible threats. The woman believes her ex-boyfriend is behind the threats. Read more about that incident and others from mid-November below.

Suspicion, Nov. 14 — An Avon Lake woman reported that someone was threatening her and her new boyfriend. She believed the threats were coming from an ex-boyfriend. Officer spoke to the possible suspect and extra patrols were requested around the woman's residence.

Traffic Complaint, Nov. 14 — Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

Psychiatric Situation, Nov. 14 — An Avon Lake resident was contemplating self-harm. Someone alerted police to the possible threat and officers were able to locate the resident and talk them down. The resident checked themselves into medical care.

Suspicious Activity, Nov. 14 — An administrator at a local health company reported the possible theft of monies. There are no suspects at this time.

Death Investigation, Nov. 17 — An 85-year-old Avon Lake man was found dead at his home. He likely died of natural causes.

Fire, Nov. 18 — A small fire broke out in the garage of a Country Club Drive residence.

Theft, Nov. 19 — A leaf blower was stolen from a Redwood Boulevard resident's home.
