Tires, Window Screens Slashed At Avon Lake Home
Two cars had their tires slashed while parked in the driveway of a Lakewood Drive man's home.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police are looking for the person that slashed an Avon Lake man's tires and window screens earlier this month. The man's ex-girlfriend is suspected of being involved but denies involvement.

Criminal Damaging, July 14 — Someone slashed the tires of a Lakewood Drive man's two cars, both of which were parked in the driveway. Several window screens were also cut on the man's home. The man suspects his ex-girlfriend may be responsible for the damage. Police contacted the woman and she denied being involved.

Fraud, July 15 — A resident's credit card was used to make fraudulent transactions.
Property Damage, July 17 — Police were called to Lakeside Drive for reports of a damaged vehicle. One of the vehicle's windows had been broken. No projectiles were located in the car and there are no current theories as to how the window was broken.

Property Damage, July 18 — A vehicle in the parking lot of Drug Mart, 33382 Walker Rd., had its window broken. Police could not determine how the window was shattered and suspect it may have shattered when the car door closed.
Theft, July 19 — An unlocked vehicle on Angela Lane was rifled through. A credit card and cash were taken.
Death Investigation, July 20 —Avon Lake Fire were called by a woman's nephew asking for a wellness check on his aunt. When emergency services arrived at her house, they found the woman dead. The nephew was notified.
