To the Beach: Lakeview Park, Lorain

One of Lorain County's most popular beaches, going to Lakeview Park is an an all-day affair.

Lakeview Park is one of Lorain County’s largest parks with a lake view. This park is broken into north and south portion by U.S. 6 (West Erie Avenue).

The popular beach, which is part of the Lorain County Metro Park system, was completely renovated in 2007 and includes a new bathhouse, a café and handicapped access to the beach. Pack the towels, shovels and few bucks for snacks and expect to spend the day at this park. This is a bona-fide beach with 1/3 mile of groomed sand including a large playground area on the beach. During summer evenings, volleyball games are in full swing.

Steps to the beach are accessible to the East Beach and West Beach. On top of the steps, visitors will find the park's historic rose beds containing 2,500 roses in 48 beds.
