To the Beach! Rocky River Park/Bradstreet's Landing

This passive park welcomes dogs

You’ve probably passed Rocky River Park and Bradstreet’s Landing dozens of times on Lake Road, but may not have realized what was behind the park sign and down the hill.

The 6-acre Bradstreet’s Landing area and park is small but packed with activity. In addition to a 600-foot long fishing pier that is a Lake Erie landmark, the area contains two beaches, a concession building that contains a bait store and bathrooms, paved trails, a foot bridge and a small Lake Erie tributary.

In 2006, renovation and erosion control project was complete, earning the park an "Outstanding" award from Ohio Parks and Recreation Association.

Swimming is not permitted — for people — but the beach area attracts plenty of dog owners and dogs.

The site is also a popular location to launch kayaks and small sailboats on the smaller eastern beach.
