Unconscious Man, Heroin Found At Avon Lake Boat Launch
Police said a 29-year-old was found unconscious in a Jeep at the boat launch. Heroin was found in his possession, officers said.
AVON LAKE, OH — An unconscious man was found at the Miller Road Boat Launch on Aug. 12, according to Avon Lake police reports.
At 10 a.m., callers said they saw an unconscious man in a Jeep parked at the boat launch. When police arrived, they found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in the man's vehicle.
The man was identified as a 29-year-old Youngstown resident. Avon Lake Fire Department took him to the Avon Cleveland Clinic for a medical evaluation and observation.

Police said the man was accused of possession of heroin and possession of dangerous drug abuse instruments.
The 29-year-old was held on a $5,000 bond, the Avon Lake Municipal Court decided on Aug. 12. However, the Youngstown man was scheduled for a pre-trial court appearance on Thursday, but never appeared.

The court has issued a warrant for the man's arrest for failing to appear, documents show.
