Veteran's Day Breakfast To Be Held At Learwood Middle
The Avon Lake school will host its annual Veteran's Day breakfast on November 12.

AVON LAKE, OH — Learwood Middle School will again host its annual Veteran's Day breakfast on November 12. The event will feature speeches from Avon Lake Mayor Greg Zilka, Avon Lake Superintendent Robert Scott, and U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral Michael Parks.
The event starts at 8 a.m., with a 30-minute breakfast. During the event, the Learwood Middle School Orchestra will play "Ghost Ship" and Handel's "Minuet."
Speeches will then begin in earnest. Following the guest speakers, the 8th Grade Concert Choir will perform "America the Beautiful." The event will conclude with Patriot's Pen Essays, a video, benediction, the retiring of the colors, and then "Taps."
