AVON, OH — Avon's new Veterans Memorial is taking another step toward completion. The monument's memorial granite stones will be delivered on Wednesday.

Kotecki Monuments will use a crane to set the 10 stones in their proper place at the memorial, the city said. Each stone weighs approximately one ton.

The process will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Spectators will be able to watch the work from bleachers set up at a safe distance. Attendees should park on the north side of the pond, closer to the Avon Fire Station.
