Like cities and towns all around the country, Avon held a ceremony Sunday to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
French Creek Development Association organized the event. The ceremony honored the victims, first responders and military. An honor guard from VFW Post 7035 fired a salute and played Taps. Scouts from Troop 333 presented the flag and led the crowd in the Plede of Allegiance.
