With only one hit on the night, the Crushers hot streak sputtered to a halt.
The Washington Wild Things blanked the Crushers 1-0 last night, and turned the lights out on Lake Erie's final regular season home game at All Pro Freight Stadium.
The Crushers (49-43) only had one hit, and the shutout puts them a half game behind the Traverse City Beach Bums for the final playoff spot of the Frontier League's Eastern Division, the team reported.
With only three away games left, the season will truly come down to the wire as the Crushers go head-to-head against the Beach Bums (50-43) starting tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m.
