Wanted Man Runs From Avon Lake Police
The man had warrants for his arrest in Westlake and North Olmsted. When Avon Lake officers approached him, he took off running.

AVON LAKE, OH - Speeding is a silly thing to do if you're wanted in two different cities. Yet one wanted man decided to speed through Avon Lake, caught the attention of a police officer, and got himself pulled over. Instead of surrendering, the man took off running. Read on to find out what happened.
Found Property, March 15 - Avon Lake Police took possession of a shotgun that had been left in a house on Bayview Drive. The home's new owner reported the shotgun to police.
Disturbance, March 20 - An argument among family members resulted in police warning a juvenile female and her father's girlfriend about aggression.

Disorderly Conduct, March 21 - Police were called to the Third Base Bar for reports of a disturbance. As a result of an investigation, one man was charged with disorderly conduct.
Fraud, March 24 - An Avon Lake resident left their credit card at a restaurant in Cleveland. The resident then began receiving message alerts from his bank about possible fraudulent purchases. The resident reported the matter to police.

Dog Attack, March 24 - A loose dog attacked a woman and her two dogs while they were walking on James Circle. No significant injuries were reported by the woman, but police were able to locate the loose dog's owner and cite him for Dog At Large.
Burglary, March 25 - Residents on Wildberry Circle returned home from a daytrip to find their side door had been kicked in and their bedroom ransacked. Guns, cash, and other medication were missing.
Traffic Complaint, March 26 - Police followed a speeding car until it pulled into a driveway on Campus Court. Once the vehicle was parked, two men jumped out of the car and took off running. Officers were able to locate the men and the driver was arrested for driving under suspension, speed, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver also had warrants for his arrest in Westlake and North Olmsted and was transferred to Westlake Police.
Telecommunications Harassment, March 28 - A former laborer texted an Avon Lake resident and harassed her for not paying him. Police interviewed both the woman and the laborer and advised them to cease communications.
