Week 8 High School Football Rankings: Where is Avon Lake?

AVON LAKE, OH - For the first time since their loss to rival Avon, the Avon Lake Shoremen are back in the top five of OHSAA's Division II, Region 6 rankings.

The Shoremen obliterated Berea-Midpark on Friday, winning 49-6. Avon Lake will play Olmsted Falls on Friday.

The top 12 saw some maneuvering among its top teams. Holland Springfield, still undefeated, dropped from the second spot to the third, swapping spots with Grafton Midview. Avon Lake also moved into the top five after Olmsted Falls lost its second game of the season.

The weekly computer ratings are released every Tuesday afternoon beginning after the fourth week of the season, leading up to the final report on Sunday morning, Oct. 30. The top 12 teams in Division II, Region 6 are below:
