Weimaraner Attacked At Avon Lake Dog Park

According to police records, the Weimaraner's ear was torn by another dog at Weiss Dog Park.

AVON LAKE, OH — A dog was attacked at Weiss Dog Park in February, according to Avon Lake police. The animal's ear was ripped by another dog at the park.

A Weimaraner was attacked by a "white-ish Labrador type dog," according to witnesses. Police have not yet been able to identify the attacking dog's owner. The Weimaraner had to be taken to a veterinarian for treatment.

Identity Theft, Feb. 14 — Someone tried to open a Chase Bank account in an Avon Lake man's name. The suspect had the resident's name, address, date of birth and social security number, according to police records. The resident has contacted all of his financial institutions to tell them of the fraud.

Identity Theft, Feb. 19 — Someone used an Avon Lake resident's credit card information to make large purchases. The shopping sprees took place outside Ohio, in two different states.
