Whiz Kid: Sophia Stack Takes First At Reflections Art Fair, Will Sell Paintings
Young artist has been drawing since she could hold a crayon.

This week we’re focusing on Sophia Stack, who recently won a first-place state-level award in Columbus at the 2011 Reflections Art Fair. She also earned a "Best of Show" award in the Avon Lake competition March 12.

School: Sophia, the daughter of Brian and Erin Stack, attends Redwood School. She is in Connie Miceli's second-grade class and has Leslie Koelsch as an art teacher.
Accomplishment: Sophia took first place at the state level for her painting.

Key to Awesomeness: Sophia started drawing as soon as she could pickup a crayon. She spends hours and hours drawing each week and also likes to write stories. Art runs in the family. Mom Erin Stack is also an artist and former Westlake schools art teacher and is now the education director at BAYarts. For the last three years, Sophia has participated in Gallery Shows at BAYarts.
Sophia plans on selling her paintings at The Summer Market in Avon Lake this year.
