Window Broken At Avon Lake Burger King

An Avon Lake man is accused of breaking a window at the fast food restaurant because he wanted a fish sandwich.

AVON LAKE, OH — A window at an Avon Lake Burger King was broken on Friday, according to police reports.

At 6:40 p.m., police were called to the Burger King at 519 Avon Belden Road.

According to police, the customer was angry because he did not receive a fish sandwich in his order. The customer banged on the front door, which was locked for the evening, and he was told to go to the drive-thru.

There was a line of cars in the drive-thru, so he walked to the drive-thru, pushed open a window and demanded his sandwich, police said. According to an Avon Lake investigator, the worker closed and locked the drive-thru window and the man hit a window pane near the drive-thru, causing it to break.

After the window broke, the man drove off, police said.

The suspect — an Avon Lake man — later turned himself into police. He has been formally accused of criminal damaging and disorderly conduct. He was released after being charged, according to police reports.
