Window Shot Out Of Avon Lake Car: Police Blotter

AVON LAKE, OH — The back window of a 51-year-old man's car was shot out on April 5. At least, that's what the man told police. Officers were unable to find any evidence of a shooting at the scene.

The man was sitting at a stop sign near Moorewood and Canterbury roads at about 10:30 p.m. While sitting at the sign, someone supposedly shot out the man's back window. When police arrived at the scene, though, they were unable to find any evidence of a projectile. Avon Lake Police said they have no suspects in the case at this time.

Dead on Arrival, April 2 — An 84-year-old man was found dead in his Avon Lake home.

OVI, April 6 — Police stopped a car on Miller Road after they saw it committing lane violations. The driver was arrested for driving a car while impaired.

Found Property, April 6 — A child's wallet was turned into the Avon Lake Police Department.

Theft, April 6 — A resident at an adult living facility had money missing from his belongings. He told a staffer and management contacted police.
