Woman Overdoses at Her Home: Avon Lake Police Blotter

AVON LAKE, OH - Police enjoyed a quiet week. Someone once again stole a resident's leaf blower, continuing a strange trend in the community of stolen lawn care equipment. Officers did respond to a woman OD'ing at her house.

Theft, Oct. 17 - A Westwind Drive man reported that his credit cards were stolen from his unlocked car which was parked in his driveway. The cards were cancelled by his credit card companies.

Burglary, Oct. 18 - An unidentified suspect broke into a Wedgewood Drive couple's home during the night and stole a purse with credit cards and the couple's car keys.

Criminal Damaging, Oct. 20 - Suspects damaged a Grove Street woman's yard globe and window

Drug Investigation, Oct. 21 - An Oakwood Drive woman overdosed on Oct. 21. Officers were sent to her home and took her to the Avon Cleveland Clinic for medical care.

Theft, Oct. 24 - Someone stole a leaf blower from a Chatham Drive man's unlocked shed. The resident gave police a description and serial number for the item.

Possession of a Controlled Substance, Oct. 25 - Officers stopped a Vermillion man for a traffic violation while he was driving on Moore and Webber Roads. As a result of the stop, officers arrested him for possession of marijuana.
