Woman's Vehicle Gets Stuck in Car Wash: Avon Lake Police Blotter

AVON LAKE, OH -

Stuck Auto, Nov. 15 - A Rocky River woman got her car stuck at a drive-thru car wash. She called police and when they arrived they found that a part was hanging off of her white Ford Explorer and that part had gotten stuck in the car wash's drain gate. Bright side: her car went through at least two rinse cycles.

Theft, Nov. 17 - Someone stole personal property from a York Road man's apartment. The man's downstairs neighbor said he saw someone leaving the apartment that was not the owner. The apartment was unlocked at the time of the theft.

Theft, Nov. 18 - A resident reported that someone stole his snow thrower and two dollies from his garage. The resident last saw the goods in June 2016.

Criminal Damaging, Nov. 18 - Police patrolling Blesser Park found a vending machine had been tipped over and damaged.

Motor Vehicle Theft, Nov. 18 - A Brookfield Road resident had their van stolen from their driveway overnight. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left inside.

Theft, Nov. 18 - A Crestwood Drive resident reported that someone stole her gas powered generator from her unlocked storage shed. The generator is valued at $500.

Possession of Drugs, Nov. 19 - Officers spotted a vehicle parked at the Legacy Recreation Center on early Saturday morning. They saw that there were three males in the car. When officers approached the car two of the passengers jumped out and ran towards the golf course. The driver, a juvenile male, was taken into custody for two offenses. The two that ran were found and received an additional charge for Obstructing.

Two False ID's were discovered belonging to one of the fleeing juveniles, he received two additional charges for False identifying information. The juvenile's parents were all notified and either had or took possession of their children.

Theft, Nov. 19 - Someone rifled through a Vineyard Road resident's cars overnight. A 9mm handgun was missing.

Theft, Nov. 19 - An iPhone 7+ was stolen from a woman's doorstep after it was delivered by UPS.
