Women's Fund Holding Drive-Thru Fundraiser In Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, OH — The Women's Fund is holding a drive-thru fundraiser at an Avon Lake restaurant on Aug. 27.

The fundraiser will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Parker's Grille & Tavern. Donations will be used for grants to organizations which support women and children.

The last day to buy tickets for the event is Friday. A $25 ticket will pay for:

• Your choice of a Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad, Pasta Primavera, or Forest Mushroom Chicken - packaged for easy transport
• Your choice of a housemade Margarita, Cosmopolitan, glass of wine, or freshly brewed Peach Iced Tea
• Be entered to win a $100 Gift Certificate to Parker's Grille & Tavern.- Plus receive a swag bag as a thank you for attending the fundraiser

"In conjunction with the FUNraiser, the Women’s Fund is also holding a collection for PCs for People, an organization that refurbishes used computers and then resells them at little cost to families in need. Anyone is welcome to drop off gently used electronics from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 27 at Parker’s. You do not need to purchase an event ticket in order to donate electronics," said Melissa Timko of the Women's Fund.

The Women's Fund is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Lorain County.
