$17,000 Of Stolen Property Found On Shoplifters In Beachwood
Two men who were arrested for stealing merchandise at Beachwood Place Mall had a ton of stolen goods in their car.

BEACHWOOD, OH — More than $17,000 of stolen merchandise was found inside a car at Beachwood Place Mall, police said. The vehicle belonged to two men who were arrested for shoplifting inside on Wednesday. It appears the duo also had an open container of alcohol in their possession.

Shoplifting, May 1 — Police arrested a woman for stealing $370 of merchandise from Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall. The woman was also charged for possession of criminal tools.

Warrant Served, May 1 — A man wanted for failure to appear was picked up at Solon Jail.
Fraud by Telecommunications, May 1 — An Edgewood Road resident came to Beachwood Police Station to report that he was the victim of a fraud scheme. The man lost more than $800 in the scam, but police say there are no known suspects at this time.

Disorderly Conduct, May 1 — An intoxicated man was arrested at Tres Portillos Restaurant on Chagrin Boulevard on Tuesday. The man was allegedly making a ruckus.
Shoplifting, May 1 — A woman was arrested for stealing $125 of merchandise from the Pink store at Beachwood Place Mall.
Possession of Marijuana, May 2 — Officers arrested a man at Beachwood Place Mall for having weed in his possession.
Damaged Property, May 2 — Two traffic signs were damaged near the I-271 South entrance on Cedar Road.
Selling Marijuana, May 2 — Police arrested a man outside of Beachwood Place Mall for selling marijuana. Besides the weed, officers also found a concealed handgun on the man's person.
Marijuana Possession, May 2 — A man and woman were both cited for possession of marijuana while they were at Nordstrom at Beachwood Place Mall. The man had an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into police custody.
Obscene Phone Calls, May 3 — Someone called an employee of the Austin Powder Company and delivered an obscene message, police said.
