2 Beachwood Place Mall Shoplifters Arrested, 1 Gets Away
Police went two-for-three this past week in catching shoplifters from at the mall.

BEACHWOOD, OH - As warmer weather heats up the area, more people are attempting to steal clothes and sunglasses from stores at Beachwood Place Mall. There were at least three incidents of shoplifting reported this past week and police were able to catch two-out-of-three thieves. Read on for information on those incidents and others.
OVI, April 24 - Beachwood Police stopped a woman for erratic driving. It was determined the woman was intoxicated and she was arrested for OVI and driving with a suspended license.
Shoplifting, April 24 - An adult man stole a pair of $179.95 sunglasses from Vision Works at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The man fled the premises and police could not locate him.

Warrant Served, April 25 - Police picked up a man from Cleveland Police on an active warrant.
OVI, April 25 - An adult woman was arrested for driving under the influence on April 25. The woman was stopped on Richmond Road.

Littering, April 25 - Officers stopped a car after seeing a man litter near Richmond and Harvard roads. The man had multiple warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody.
Shoplifting, April 25 - An adult male was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall. The man tried to get away with merchandise valued at $129.
DOA, April 26 - A nursing home patient was found deceased. Police say the patient died of natural causes.
DOA, April 27 - Police were called to the Vue for a welfare check. They found the male resident of the apartment deceased.
Shoplifting, April 27 - An adult female was arrested for trying to steal $117 worth of merchandise from Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall.
