2 Shoplifters Flee From Beachwood Police

BEACHWOOD, OH - Shoplifters haunted Beachwood over the Easter Sunday weekend. Several incidents at Beachwood Place Mall were reported to police and some suspects fled from police. Read on for more information.

Marijuana Possession, April 14 - Police stopped a woman on I-271 South when they found she had an active warrant for her arrest with Wickliffe Police. Officers found marijuana in the woman's car.

Industrial Accident, April 14 - A worker at Menorah Park received an electrical shock while working in the kitchen.

Shoplifting, April 14 - Two juvenile girls were arrested for shoplifting from various stores at Beachwood Place Mall, including Claire's, Aldo Accessories, and Victoria's Secret. Police recovered the merchandise from the duo and Victoria's Secret is pursuing charges for shoplifting. Items recovered from Victoria's Secret totaled $217.

Disorderly Conduct, April 14 - An intoxicated man was trying to wave down vehicles at the Four Seasons Building 4, 26900 Geo Zeiger Drive. Police investigated the matter and found the man had multiple warrants for his arrest, and so took the man into custody.

Shoplifting, April 14 - Police attempted to stop an accused shoplifter on I-271, but the man instead fled from police. The car the man was driving had stolen license plates.

Shoplifting, April 15 - An adult woman and her juvenile sister were arrested for stealing six items from the Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $481. The adult woman was also charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Shoplifting, April 15 - Police received reports that two women had shoplifted merchandise from Sally's Beauty Supply, 24205 Chagrin Boulevard. Officers caught up to the women and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, however the women fled.
