3 Busted For Marijuana Possession In Beachwood
As national rhetoric turns toward more stringent enforcement of recreational marijuana use, Beachwood police cracked down locally.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Lately, the national discussion of marijuana enforcement has shifted toward a stricter crackdown on recreational marijuana use. Locally, in what was likely unconnected, Beachwood Police ended up citing at least three people this week for marijuana possession.
Marijuana Possession, Feb. 20 - Police busted two juveniles with marijuana. The pair were in a car on Amherst Circle at the East Haven Building.
License Suspension, Feb. 20 - An adult woman was arrested after she disobeyed a traffic signal near Chagrin Boulevard and I-271. Police determined that the woman had a suspended license and an active warrant with the Bratenhal Police Department.

Lost Property, Feb. 20 - Forgetfulness is the worst. A woman place her laptop on top of her car and drove off. The laptop is now missing (and presumably a mess).
OVI, Feb. 23 - Police stopped a woman on George Ziegler Drive for reckless turning at an intersection. She was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence.

Warrant Served, Feb. 23 - A man wanted in Shaker Heights Court was taken into custody by Cleveland Heights Police and transferred to Beachwood Police custody.
Theft from Building, Feb. 23 - Four aluminum downspouts were stolen from Hangar Recreation Association, 24400 Cedar Rd.
Shoplifting, Feb. 23 - A woman was detained at Nordstrom, 26200 Cedar Rd., for trying to steal $1,595 worth of merchandise. The woman had an outstanding warrant in Bainbridge and the Bainbridge Police Department collected the woman. Charges for the theft are still pending.
Marijuana Possession, Feb. 23 - Police stopped a man on Cedar Road for driving with a suspended license. Officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the man's car.
