3 Drug Busts Made In Beachwood This Week
Police caught people with suspected heroin, marijuana and drug abuse instruments.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police busted at least three people for possession of controlled substances this week, including heroin and marijuana. One of the suspects was also involved in trying to pass a bad check at a local business.

Suspicion, Nov. 6 — A shirt stained with blood was found in the parking lot of the Beachwood Buick and GMC, 25975 Central Prkwy.

Warrant Served, Nov. 6 — A woman wanted in Shaker Heights Municipal Court was arrested in Solon.
Disturbance, Nov. 6 — Officers were called to a home on Maidstone Lane. A caller reported an unwanted guest refusing to leave the house. The man was gone before police arrived.

License Suspension, Nov. 7 — Police stopped a car on Cedar Rd. The driver had a suspended license and was cited. The car they were driving was towed.
Marijuana Possession, Nov. 7 — A man was stopped while driving on Green Road. According to police reports, the man had failed to use his turn signals and had expired license plates. Officers also cited the driver for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
Theft from Auto, Nov. 7 — Someone went into a car on Edgehill Drive and stole a wallet. The car was reportedly left unlocked. A similar incident occurred at another home on Edgehill Drive that same night.
Purse Snatching, Nov. 7 — A shopper at Big Lots had her purse stolen from her shopping cart on Tuesday.
Fraud, Nov. 8 — A KeyBank customer was the victim of a major fraud this week. The man reported losing nearly $19,000 through fraudulent online banking activity. Before the bank could take any action, the man was advised that he needed to file a police report.
Heroin Possession, Nov. 8 — Police were called to Dollar Bank, 26949 Chagrin Blvd., after a man tried to pass a bad check at the business. Officers arrested the man for forgery and then found the man was in possession of suspect heroin.
Phone Calls Annoying, Nov. 8 — A resident on South Woodland reports receiving annoying and frequent phone calls from someone she does not know.
Burglary, Nov. 8 — Someone forced their way into a home on Elmhurst Dr. and stole an iPad worth about $400.
Theft from Building, Nov. 8 — Nearly $3,800 of items were stolen from a woman's apartment at the R.H. Meyers Apartment Complex, 27200 Cedar Rd.
Marijuana Possession, Nov. 9 — Two women were caught shoplifting $800 of merchandise from Dillard's, at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. One of the two women also had marijuana in her possession.
