3 License Suspension Arrests In Beachwood

Officers cracked down on those driving with a suspended license in the city, including one man who violated a temporary protection order.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Police were cracking down on folks with suspended driver's licenses this weekend in Beachwood. One incident even saw police catch a man in felony violation of a temporary protection order. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the weekend.

Suspicion, May 5 - A resident at a local apartment complex believed cash was missing from his apartment. Police could find no signs that anything had been taken.

Handicap Parking Violation, May 5 - Officers cited a woman for using a deceased person's handicapped parking placard at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The placard was confiscated.

Driving Under Suspension, May 5 - Police arrested a man on I-271 South for driving with a suspended license.

Driving Under Suspension, May 5 - Tinted windows got a man pulled over in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall on Friday. The man had several warrants out for his arrest and a suspended license. The man was arrested.

Violation of a Protection Order, May 5 - An Ohio man failed to obey a traffic light and got pulled over by police. The man then tried to get out of the situation by giving officers a fake Tennessee license, which was quickly identified as fictitious. Two children, a 5-months-old and a 3-year-old, were in the backseat of the man's car. The man's Ohio license had been suspended and he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was also violating a protection order and was arrested.

Unauthorized Use, May 6 - A female resident reported that someone was using her vehicle without permission. The vehicle was located and returned without incident.

DOA, May 7 - A 72-year-old man was found dead at Beachwood Pointe Rehab, 23900 Chagrin Blvd. There is no suspicion of foul play.

License Suspension, May 7 - Speeding on I-271 got a man pulled over by police. Officers found the man had a suspended license and an active warrant for his arrest and took the man to Beachwood City Jail.
